The Forest Loops

Camping at Girdwood Forest Fair

We offer rustic forest tent-camping tucked in the spruce loops. There are no RV hookups, running water, or electrical outlets in the camping loops—this is pure Alaskan camping!

Zones

Designated Camping Zones

Family Loop

Reserved for families, kids, and elders. Quiet hours are strictly enforced. Limited space, priority booking.

Vendor Loop

Directly behind the Main Loop, reserved exclusively for registered craft and food booth operators.

Volunteer Loop

Free loop reserved for volunteers who complete a minimum of one 4-hour safety or clean shift.

Core Camping Rules & Safety

  • ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS: Animals are strictly prohibited in the campground loops. Any camper bringing a dog will be immediately evicted without refund.
  • Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily. Loud stereos, drumming, or shouting are not tolerated during these hours.
  • Campfires: Allowed **only** in designated communal fire pits monitored by Camp Hosts. No individual ground fires.
  • Pack It In, Pack It Out: You must pack out all waste or sort it thoroughly at our Earth Crew recycling stations.
  • Bear Safety: Girdwood is bear country. All food, trash, and toiletries must be locked in bear-proof containers or locked in your vehicles.
